Andrea Ercolani, PhD in Classical Philology, is a CNR Researcher at the Institute for Studies on the Mediterranean (ISMed).
He has carried out research and teaching assignments at the Albert-Lugwigs Universität of Freiburg i. Br. (D), and then at the University of Calabira and the University of Molise.
Member of the editorial staff of scientific journals of antiquity (Seminari Romani di Cultura Greca, Rivista di Studi Fenici, Mediterranea), he is among the scientific managers and general editors of the project and of the publication Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Phoenician Culture.
The fields of scientific interest mainly concern the Greek literature of the archaic period, in particular the epos, the sapiential traditions, the lyric, the theatre, with historical and philological, anthropological, comparative approach.
