Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Phoenician Culture (EDPC)
The Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Phoenician Culture (EDPC) Project is part of the research line ‘Societies and Cultures of the Ancient Mediterranean’ and was originally promoted by the CNR with the participation of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas – CSIC (Madrid) and the University of Tübingen (Institut für Biblische Einleitung und Zeitgeschichte and, currently, the Institut für Klassische Archäologie).
The project aims to produce a multi-volume encyclopaedic dictionary to offer an up-to-date summary of Phoenician and Punic culture in its entirety. The volumes, organised thematically, comprise over 2000 entries, and involve the collaboration of over 200 authors.
