Abstract

Digital study and acquisition of documentary sources with reference to the cultural, archaeological, monumental, historical-artistic and scientific-naturalistic heritage of the “Benedictine Fund” kept in the “Civic and A. Ursino Recupero” Libraries and the related Benedictine museum heritage kept in the Civic Museum of Castello Ursino and never before studied for the purpose of scientific and social knowledge for the benefit of the city of Catania. Technical-scientific analysis for the development of a platform based on the principles of Linked Open Data for the digital re-proposition of the integrated model Library-Museum peculiar to the eighteenth-century Benedictine study.
