Profile

Since 2024, Associate Professor at the Telematic University PEGASO, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Engineering. Previously, Researcher at the National Research Council (at various institutes, in particular Ipiget, ISSM, ISMed) from 1998 to 2023.

At Pegaso, since August 2024, he has been the Chair of the Council of the Civil Engineering Degree Course (Class L-7). He teaches Urban Planning and Techniques (Civil Engineering Degree Course) and Environmental and Territorial Protection Systems (Safety Engineering Degree Course).

Adjunct Professor for about twenty years at the University of Naples Parthenope (Environmental Analysis and Assessment) and at the University of Naples Federico II (Courses in the ICAR/20 sector – Urban and Territorial Planning and Techniques).
He is the author of over 140 scientific publications.

He has participated in numerous research groups and has collaborated in drafting a series of urban planning projects at various territorial levels, paying particular attention to the environmental impacts of these plans.

Editor of the scientific journal TeMA Journal, a Class A journal in the 08/F1 sector, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (http://www.serena.unina.it/index.php/tema).

Research topics range from territorial planning to local planning, from environmental assessment to aspects related to urban redevelopment, from the evolution of urban planning regulations to territorial governance processes.
