Profile

Full Professor of Economic Policy.

Lecturer in “Political Economy” at the Interfaculty of Economics, Humanities and Philosophy of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Sede di Milano. Degree Course: Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Entertainment. Lecturer of “Economics of Business and Markets” as part of the Master’s Degree Program “Philosophical Skills for Economic Decisions (COM.FIL.DEC)” of the Catholic University where he is also a member of the Board of Directors.

His teaching activity over the years has covered the following subjects: Political Economy, Economic Policy, Monetary Economics, Public Economics, Law and Economics of International Institutions, and Welfare Economics. It has been carried out not only at the Catholic University but also at other Italian and foreign universities.

Author of numerous publications in high-profile journals, he participates in the scientific debate by speaking at conferences, workshops and with seminars at prestigious foreign universities and institutions.

Scientific research activities

The research activity has focused on topics related to economic theory and its applications with particular reference to monetary economics and public economics. From these themes have developed research interests related to globalization and labor economics; sustainable finance, money, banking supervision, the politics and economics of culture and the economics of meaning, corporate social responsibility, economic policies for development, and the search for innovative paths to enhance the realities of territories and communities. His research activity has also been developed in collaboration with distinguished colleagues, with whom he has shared MIUR and University programs .

He is a member of the Department of Economic Policy and the Department of Communication Sciences and Entertainment of the Catholic University; of the Inter-University Center for Economic Growth and Development (CICSE) based at the Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Pisa; of the Scientific Committee of EconomEtica; of the Research Group “Culture and Pastoral Care of Monastery Administration and Ecclesiastical Goods” at the Pontifical Athenaeum S. Anselmo in Rome. Member of the Scientific Council of the journal “Economia Internazionale/ International Economics.”
