Profile

Tommasina Pianese is researcher at CNR-ISMed.

After a master degree cum laude in Business administration obtained in 2005 at the University of Napoli Federico II, she collaborated to the activities of the Italian Embassy in Paris (France) within the project MAE-CRUI. Following she got a Ph.D. in Sport Management in 2010 at the University of Napoli Parthenope.

Her research interests refer mainly to organizational innovation, treated with regard to a) remote work arrangements (i.e. telework, virtual work, smart working) enabled by progress in ICT; b) Smart Work Centers, innovative corporate workplaces whose layout inspired to collaborative spaces. The focus is on understanding changes on organizational processes, managerial practices and individual behaviors due to these innovation in work arrangements and workplace design.

She was also involved in research on sport industry, notably on studying digital communication by organizing committees of sport events following the diffusion of social network. Finally, she carried out researches on environmental sustainability in the hospitality industry, in particular on implications of sustainable strategies on human resource management and green marketing.

Her researches combine theoretical study with qualitative empirical investigation, based mainly on case studies.  

She is coordinator of #RGCSRoma, Italian Chapter of #RGCS Research Group on Collaborative Spaces, an interdisciplinary and international research group on collaborative spaces.

Research findings are disseminated among researchers and business audience, by attending academic conferences and practice-oriented workshops, and publishing scientific studies and managerial contributions.
