Luigi Guadalupi is an economic researcher the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – Istituto di Studi sul Mediterraneo (ISMed). He has a Master degree in “Economia, Istituzioni e Sviluppo nel Mezzogiorno” from Fondazione Sichelgaita (Salerno), and a Ph.D. in Economics of the Public Sector from the University of Salerno.
His research interests concern with Regional Economics, Public Economics and Complexity Economics. In particular, in recent years he has been involved in the economic impact evaluation of the tourism, in the analysis of economic interdependencies through input-output models, in the analysis of the technical efficiency of municipal administrations through DEA models, and finally, in the analysis of local economic systems through agent based models.
He attended several training courses related to issues related to the evaluation of public policies, multidimensional statistical analysis and econometrics. He has experience in statistical data analysis through the use of specific statistical software such as Stata, Eviews, R and, in the meantime, has learned several programming languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, C #.
He worked in the “Comitato Nazionale per l’Emersione del Lavoro non regolare” set up at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers as head of the Province of Salerno. Furthermore, He has participated in numerous national and international research groups coordinated by both public (Ministry of Public Function, University of Naples, University of Salerno, Istat, Campania Region, Naples Chamber of Commerce) and private (Consiel Spa, Telecom Italia ).
Its publications of national and international relevance mainly concern with local development, the economic analysis of science-based sectors, the evaluation of the economic impact of tourism, and the analysis of networks of scientific research collaborations.
