Profile

Ph.D University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA and Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Verona where he teaches Economic Policy and Development Economics. Current President of the Italian Society of Development Economics (SITES). He is a member of the scientific committee of the Centre for Household, Income, Labor and Demographics (CHILD), the International Centre for Economic Development (ICID) and the ‘Centre for Studies and Research on the Family’ at the Catholic University of Milan. His main research interests concern the economics of welfare and sustainable economic development, the estimation of the cost of living, children and disabilities, poverty and inequality, family policies, the analysis of micro and macro models of economic policy, environmental economics and health. He is the author of numerous international publications and books in the field of welfare economics, family and economic and sustainable development. Founder and scientific head of the university spinoff _Economic Living Lab_ of the University of Verona specialising in the impact assessment of social programmes and sustainable economic development projects.
