Profile

Associate Professor of Economic Statistics at the University “Niccolò Cusano” (where he also teaches Probability and Statistics and Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics), former Expert at the European Commission (HORIZON Expert Group at the JRC/Joint Research Center of the European Commission), and Member of the Working Group “Market Competition Innovation” of the Technical Table on Industrial Policies of the Ministry of Economic Development on a free basis. Carlo holds a PhD in Statistics from the University ‘Federico II’ of Naples. During his academic career, he was first a researcher in Probability and Mathematical Statistics and then a researcher in Economic Statistics at the Niccolò Cusano University. Carlo’s academic interests are methodologically oriented towards Machine Learning, both Unsupervised and Supervised Learning, and applied to energy, health and social economic issues such as poverty. Carlo has recently published in leading international journals, including Scientific Reports, Energy Policy, Business Strategy and the Environment, Technovation, Energy Research & Social Science, Quality & Quantity, Cliometrica among others.
