Launch in Milan on 25 and 26 March of the Jean Monnet EURSLAM – Europe, European Integration and Muslin presence module project, which aims to explore and better understand European integration and the Muslim presence on the continent. The Institute for Mediterranean Studies of the National Research Council (CNR-ISMed) is among the project partners, together with the Romolo Murri Foundation and the Balkans and Caucasus Observatory Transeuropa – Centre for International Cooperation. Lead partner: University of Milan – Department of Historical Studies

The participation of CNR-ISMed in the project makes a major contribution to research and interdisciplinary perspectives on European integration and the Muslim presence in the contemporary context.

Among the main objectives of the project, funded by the European Union: to analyse the socio-cultural dynamics that define the relations between Europe and the Muslim community, promoting a constructive and inclusive dialogue.
