The new web site of CNR-ISMed is now online

The new website of the CNR-ISMed (www.ismed.cnr.it), developed by Antonio Rossi within the IT services of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies, with the supervision of Giovanni Canitano, is now online.

The result of work that went well beyond mere restyling operations, the site has focused on quality work, in line with current IT and technological standards, especially in terms of accessibility, usability, security and design.

The Home Page focuses on the latest news, the most recent events, the locations, the research lines, and emphasises some of the numbers that characterise the institute, with a direct connection to the main social media channels @CNR-ISMed, for communication that is always up-to-date and participatory. Much information is generated in dynamic form, within a design in line with the institutional image and colours. The focus of the Institute’s research is immediately evident, in the evocative image of a Mediterranean crossed by themes that, despite their specificity, flow without knowing borders and barriers, for transdisciplinary research capable of tackling the complex dynamics that cross the entire area.

Also from a technical point of view, the removal of barriers and inclusivity were a primary objective in the design of the new site, which in fact aims to obtain a declaration of conformity from AGID (Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale) in terms of accessibility, with content that can be used without discrimination of any kind.

The structure of the site re-proposes the traditional menu and content, with sections also dedicated to services and job and training opportunities. An important new feature is access with @cnr.it credentials to a shared space for ISMed staff, implemented through the use of Office365 tools.
