What happens when museums stop being mere observation spaces? What is the unexpressed potential of these cultural institutions? Are they turning into something more, into places where the creative and cultural capacity of a society finds a new way of expression? One of the keys seems to be the personalisation of content, a silent revolution making its way through galleries and exhibition halls, offering increasingly customised experiences.
Advanced technologies such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence and interactive apps are gradually opening up new scenarios. What impact will this personalisation have on the visitor experience? Routes are no longer rigid, but are adapted to personal interests, allowing a deep interaction with the works.
The visitor, who was once a passive spectator, now seems to be moving towards an unprecedented role: that of co-creator of content, in a cultural dialogue that never stops evolving.
