Salvatore Capasso new director of DSU
Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage

Salvatore Capasso, director of the Institute for Studies on the Mediterranean of the National Research Council (CNR-ISMed), was elected director of the DSU-Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage at the end of the last board meeting on 31 January 2023.

Professor of Economics at the University of Naples Parthenope, PhD at the University of Manchester, Salvatore Capasso has been working on economic integration and the economies of Mediterranean countries for years. At CNR he has given great impulse to support and promote integration, sustainability, growth and development in the Mediterranean area, opening new areas of research that have increasingly focused on transdisciplinarity and interaction between the humanities and natural sciences.
