Description: Our main catalogue contains 12000 records for books and journals which make up a specialist, historical and socio-economic collection.

Accessibility: The access to our Library is mainly reserved to researchers, teachers, students, public employed. People interested in the library are welcome. Due to internal organization, consultation and loan of any books has to be approved by appointment and preventive permission. Occasionally, users can use the equipments of the library to collect some bibliographical references.

ISMed Library in Nilde: The ISMed Library is a member of Nilde (Network for Inter-Library Document Exchange), a web-based software for document delivery service between libraries. The service consists of providing copies of articles or parts of books. Documents are provided for study or research purposes only. If you wish to find journal articles, conference proceedings, you must make a request with bibliographical references to Dr. Mariarosaria Aletta, the contact person for the “Nilde Utenti” service (for which a simple registration is required), which offers users the advantage of knowing the status of their requests at any time until they receive the documents. The Library provides a free Document Delivery service for libraries that ensure reciprocity and free exchange. The documents are provided in compliance with current legislation on photocopying (Law 633/1941 et seq.).

Letteratura Grigia Italiana Project: Through the contact person for the project, Giovanni Canitano, the institute participates in the project “Italian Grey Literature” promoted by the Central Library of CNR located in Rome. The term “grey literature” refers to unconventional sources (York, 1978): technical, scientific and industrial materials. Bibliographic digital resources: you can use POLAR CNR to search any item are you interested in (books, conferences, maps, scores). Using Biblioproxy portal you can access to bibliographic resources (e-journals, databases, e- books) acquired centrally by the CNR. Siper account’s credentials are required to log in. It’s not necessary to be in the institute to connect the personal computer to the database.
