As part of the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, the International b2b Tourism Fair, the fourth volume of the book series edited by CNR-ISMed and dedicated to tourism in the Mediterranean region will be presented. This year’s volume, due out at the end of October, aims to take an in-depth look at how modern destinations are governed as they face new challenges such as sustainability, climate change, the circular economy and the technological revolution. The main results and important theoretical and managerial implications of the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research collected in the volume will be presented.
The event is also intended as an opportunity to offer a space for dialogue between the world of research, businesses and policy makers in which new models of governance of destinations will be critically discussed in order to face the new challenges of the tourism sector, which is increasingly strategic for the economies of our country and the Mediterranean region.
The conference will be attended by the editors of the book series, the guest editor of the volume, academics and operators.
