The Symposium is organised by the Research Group on Collaborative Spaces (RCGS), an international and multidisciplinary research network (architects, urban planners, regional economists, business economists…) focused on new work practices and transformations. The network considers collaborative communities and movements (coworkers, makers, hackers, etc.) both as an object of research and as a lever for transforming work practices in the context of the sharing economy.

Among the leading organisations present are: LinkedIn, UNESCO, BNP, Ouishare, PwC, La MYNE, NOISE, Ubisoft, ESCP BS (incubators). The event includes two keynote lectures, delivered by Prof. Valérie Chanal and Prof. Theodore Schatzki, two panels on the future of work, an academic panel, parallel sessions, workshops and other interesting highlights.

The day before the symposium, 26 January 2023, a pre-event will be organised at the Grenoble Ecole de Management, with a workshop, the RCGS general assembly, a first keynote lecture – delivered by Prof. Paul Leonardi – and a social event.

Luisa Errichiello e Tommasina Pianese (CNR-ISMed) participate as coordinators of the Italian Chapter (Rome) of the Research Group on Collaborative Spaces and members of the symposium’s Organising Committee and Scientific Committee of the research network’s official journal, JOCO, Journal of Openess, Commons & Organising.
