The meeting is part of a series of events organised by the University of Ferrara as part of the Public Engagement 2025 project: “Living inclusion. Rights and urban spaces beyond conflict”. The initiative focuses on experimenting with a model of a university “beyond its walls”, capable of operating beyond its physical boundaries and serving the city and its most vulnerable communities. The programme actively involves students, local associations and residents of different origins, both Italian and foreign. The aim is to promote a participatory process of producing and sharing critical knowledge on marginalisation, the climate crisis and inclusion and governance policies. The action aims to enhance the constitutional function of cultural heritage as a tool for social cohesion, participation and the construction of substantive equality.

The seminar is the result of collaboration between CNR-ISMed (URT of Ferrara) and the Department of Humanities (University of Ferrara) and is one of the first initiatives of a large-scale project on the analysis of social dynamics in the Ferrara area.
