The seminar analyses from a historical point of view the entry and presence of foreign labour in different segments of the Italian labour market between the 1960s and the 1980s, with specific reference to two case studies. Through the exploitation of archive research, in fact, the seminar proposes the reconstruction of the events relating to the arrival of Tunisians in western Sicily and the entry of foreign agricultural workers in the primary sector of Southern Italy.
