The seminar is part of a series of meetings within the framework of PRIN 2022: Folklore and Oral Traditions in the Greek Culture: From the Archaic to the Hellenistic Age. The project has a multidisciplinary character and involves specialists from different cultural fields. This meeting, featuring one of the leading experts in ancient Greek folklore, aims to focus on the specificity that the category of Folklore takes on in ancient Greek culture and at the same time to highlight the elements of continuity that unite ancient and modern folklore.
