Political migration is one of the most hotly debated topics in public discourse. The boundaries and differences between political and economic motivations underlying migration flows are at the heart of discussions, conflicts and interpretations that have a significant impact on the interpretation, perception and governance of international mobility. The aim of the training school is to provide an in-depth historical analysis of the evolution of political migration in contemporary Italy, from the Risorgimento to the present day, identifying both effective ways of understanding its specific characteristics and educational pathways capable of supporting its dissemination in schools.
The training school includes morning sessions with lectures and presentations by highly qualified scholars and afternoon sessions with presentations of teaching units by teachers, meeting the growing demand for knowledge on the history of migration in schools.
External auditors are welcome. Participants (scholarship holders and auditors) will receive a certificate of attendance.
