In the framework of the PRIN 2022 “Folklore and Oral Traditions in the Greek Culture. From the Archaic to the Hellenistic Period”, the CNR-ISMed unit and the unit of the University of L’Aquila are promoting a study day with the aim of tackling, from a comparative perspective, the practices of poetic contrast or contest from both an anthropological and a literary-historical point of view. The aim is to try to understand the modalities and meaning of a living poetic practice (which has its roots in ritual and community occasions) and how this practice is transposed and reworked in a more properly literary key in times and places other than those of origin.
