In the eighteen years since its foundation, Global Environment. A Journal of Transdisciplinary History has established itself on the national and international scientific scene as one of the leading journals in environmental history. The transdisciplinary openness that characterises it has allowed it to dialogue with a large number of specialists, united by their focus on environmental issues from a historical perspective, but coming from the most disparate disciplines and from all over the globe. In this way, Global Environment has built a network of studies on a local, regional and national scale, able to inform in detail the broader landscape of global studies and vice versa.
During the meeting, speakers will recount the history of the journal, describe its relevance in environmental historiography and give an impression of its openness to encounters with other disciplines.
