The electrification of freight transport and the adoption of effective reverse logistics practices are now two key strategic levers for building a sustainable supply chain through emissions reduction, cost containment and improved operational efficiency. The workshop brings together businesses, universities, research centres and associations. The aim is to create connections and transfer knowledge in order to address the transformations underway, highlighting technological and logistical challenges, but also opportunities for innovation and solutions for a sustainable transition in the world of logistics. During the workshop, the results of two recent studies on the prospects for the electrification of road freight transport and the management of returns in online commerce will be presented and discussed.
