The second volume of the annual book series dedicated to tourism in the Mediterranean region, addresses the complex topic of 4.0 technologies in tourism in its multiple aspects and from different angles. The aim of the volume is to encourage the definition of new growth strategies by operators in the sector, while at the same time orienting consumers towards new and engaging forms of tourism experiences.

The event also aims to be an opportunity for dialogue between the world of research, businesses and policy makers in which the advantages, risks and concrete challenges posed by the development and adoption of 4.0 and metaverse technologies in a strategic sector for the economies of our country and the entire Mediterranean region are critically discussed.
