The Journal of Insurance Issues, the official journal ofthe Western Riskand Insurance Association, is co-sponsored by the SouthernRisk and Insurance Association. From 1977 through 1990 the Journal waspublished as the Journal of Insurance Issues and Practices.

The Journal of Insurance Issues(JII) is a peer‐reviewed scholarly journal that publishes rigorous theoreticaland empirical research in the field of risk and insurance. The JII encouragesnew perspectives and is open to all research methods including, butnot limitedto, empirical studies, mathematical proofs, laboratory experiments and simulations.All manuscripts, including empirical manuscripts, need to test, extend, and/ordevelop new theory that is relevant and timely for public policy orpractitioners. Each year, one article from JII is selected for the prestigiousDonald Hardigree Award.

The Journal is indexed by theABDC Journal Quality List as a “B” level journal. Additionally, JII is alsoincluded in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and in Cabell’s. Allissues of the JII are available online through JSTOR. In addition to JSTOR,articles included in the Journal are also available in BusinessSourceComplete, ABI/INFORM Global, and RePEc, among others.
