If Russia collapses
Monday 19th July 2021, 7.00 p.m.
Italian Navy Officers' Club
Naples, via Cesario Console 3/bis
on the Terrace of the Club (5th floor)
Event open to the public, registration required
On the terrace of the Circolo Ufficiali della Marina Militare, we will discuss geopolitics and Russia's posture in the face of its all-time enemy: the older United States and its new European allies, who are pressing it along its western borders. What are the red lines that Moscow is ready to defend? What are the American strategies to contain the Russian Federation without annihilating it?
The meeting will also deal with the Ukrainian crisis of 2014 and Kiev's subsequent switch to the opposite camp, which convinced Moscow to better protect what remains of its empire, starting with shaky Belarus. It has also pushed the Kremlin to establish a forced but useful cooperation with China to counter Washington's appetites, as well as a risky friendship with NATO-registered Turkey. The American Number One is happy to unite the Atlantic front against the Russian danger with the interested help of the Nordic, Baltic and Euro-Eastern countries.
