Monday, September 27, 2021, 7:00 p.m.
Officers' Club of the Navy
Naples, via Cesario Console 3/bis
Outdoor meeting on the terrace of the Club (5th floor)
The topics that will be discussed at the meeting concern the implications of the American and Western defeat in Kabul, the lessons of the Afghan conflict and the debate on the future of NATO, the alliance founded by the Americans - which today appears to be in an identity crisis - to defend Western Europe from the Soviets.
Furthermore, attention will be given to the meaning of the American move: how much does Washington's defeat in Afghanistan really weigh and, above all, what consequences will it have on the balance of power in Central Asia and in the duel against China?
