Meetings of geopolitics

Via Cesario Console 3/bis, Naples
In the relationship between space and power, the maritime element has always played a strategic role. Although physically untenable, it is on the seas and oceans that the power projection of a state is assessed. Waterways in all their morphological expressions (river, sea and ocean) are today the pulsating arteries through which 90% of world trade passes. Deciding whether to open or close them means managing their traffic, and therefore their destiny. Just as militarily guarding key positions facing the seas of others translates into deterrence, the demarcation of the capacity of defense or not of their own borders.
