Once again this year, the National Research Council is a partner in the 'Youth for future' initiative within the framework of the 'Salone dello studente' in Rome, an event of excellence in the orientation of secondary school students, which takes place in the spaces of the Fiera di Roma from 13 to 15 November.

Dedicated specifically to studies and scientific careers, through direct meetings with the protagonists of science, workshops and experimental activities aimed at bringing young people closer to the themes of research, innovation and technology, 'Youth for future. Science, Technology, Innovation' offers the opportunity to directly meet 40,000 students and 1,400 teachers.

The presence of the Institute will be concentrated in the stand dedicated to CNR activities, where, next to a permanent exhibition area, researchers and CNR staff from numerous institutes will alternate in a full calendar of meetings and conferences.
At the center of the stand will be set up numerous exhibits of the exhibition CNR 'Arctic. Interactive journey to the North Pole': multimedia installations, scientific equipment, scale reconstructions, documents, objects and evocative images will guide the public to the discovery of the Arctic and the peculiarities that make this area of the planet a great natural laboratory where to study climate change.
There will also be the Cnr publishing house, in particular with the publications of 'Comics&Science', some documentaries and videos of the Cnr Web TV, the Science box of mathematics, created by the Information and Urp Communication Office of the General Directorate and a collection of data relating to the activities of school work alternation carried out and planned within the national scientific network.

On Tuesday 13th November Roberto Natalini (Cnr-Iac) will start the workshops with 'Coding using the Pyton language' (Cnr exhibition area, 9.30 a.m.). Then there will be 'Science in play' (CNR exhibition area, 10.30 am, 11 am and 11 am).30) by Fabio Chiarello (Cnr-Ifn), then the conference 'Comics&Science, how to tell the science of comics' (workshop room, 11 am) by Roberto Natalini (Director Cnr-Iac) and Andrea Plazzi (editor and translator Symmaceo Communications) and finally 'Languages and Signs' (exhibition area Cnr, 12 pm) with Maurizio Del Freo and Andrea Ercolani (Cnr-Isma).
On Wednesday, November 14th, four sessions of the workshop 'For a valorisation of the historical-cultural heritage of one's own city' (from 9.30 am), curated by Paola Avallone and Valentina Noviello (Cnr-Issm), will be held at the Cnr exhibition area. Students will then have the opportunity to talk with researchers in the research station 'Dirigibile Italia' in Ny Alesund, in the Svalbard Islands, through a video link (conference room, 10 am) and to follow a workshop with Angelo Viola (Cnr-Isac) and Nicoletta Ademollo (Cnr-Irsa) entitled 'Arctic: climate change, impacts, future challenges' (Agorà, 11.30 am).
On Thursday 15th November Fabio Chiarello (Cnr-Ifn) will propose the workshops 'Giocare con la luce' (Cnr exhibition area, 9.30 am) and 'Scienza in Musica' (Cnr exhibition area, 10 am). Two sessions of the workshop 'Social robots for the elderly' (Cnr exhibition area, 10.30 am and 11 am) will follow with Alessandro Umbrico and Andrea Orlandini (Cnr-Istc) and the presentation of the didactic kit 'Math box' of the Science in a box project (Cnr exhibition area, 11.30 am) with the designer and disseminator Luca Balletti (Cnr-Ufficio comunicazione informazione urp).
