The Institute of Studies on the Mediterranean of the CNR of Naples (CNR-Ismed) announces the delay of the call for the VII edition of the Seminar of Doctoral Studies in History and Economics in the Mediterranean Countries, which should have been issued in May 2020.

This year's edition of the seminar, initially scheduled from 28 September to 2 October, was dedicated to the theme 'Women in European monarchies: institutional paradigms, political agencies and cultural models (13th-11th centuries)' and organised in collaboration with many other national and international players: the Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences (CNR-Ispc), the University of Barcelona, the Instituciò Milà i Fontanals of the Consejo Superior de Investigación Científica de Barcelona, the University Suor Orsola Benincasa, the Italian Historical Institute for the Middle Ages, the Université de Rouen Normandie (GRHis EA 3831), the University of Crete, the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha, the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and the University of L'Aquila.

In consideration of the emergency that the whole world is experiencing, the Scientific Committee has decided to postpone this important training initiative until 2021, maintaining the theme already planned. In the meantime, the Seminar Committee will continue to work for the publication of the proceedings of the IV and VI editions, the V has only been published a few months ago.
