Last week, LIUC Università Cattaneo in Castellanza hosted the workshop “Returns in e-commerce: what paths for reverse logistics?”. There has been a lively discussion on how to rethink reverse logistics flows in terms of operational efficiency, customer experience and sustainability. After the presentation of the research results by Alessandro Creazza (LIUC University), Pietro Evangelista (ISMed-CNR) and Claudia Colicchia (Politecnico di Milano) Pietro D’Arpa (Former VP Supply Chain – P&G Europe) spoke first about the challenges of the circular economy in reverse logistics, followed by Paola Chiarini (European Commission) on the European Commission’s priorities for zero-emission logistics and the circular economy. Finally, Francesco Fumelli (SCS Consulting) led a final round table discussion with representatives from leading companies in the fashion and logistics sectors, including Pambianco Company, Yamamay, Stella McCartney, UPS and FIEGE Logistics Italia.
